Bible Quotes in Song Listen
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
(Psalm 1:1-3)

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
(Psalm 19:7)

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
(Psalm 32:8)

Bible Quotes

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
(Psalm 14:1,2)

I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
(Psalm 16:7,8)

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
(Psalm 51:6)

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
(Psalm 53:1)

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
(Psalm 90:12)

O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep. A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this. When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.
(Psalm 92:5-8)

O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
(Psalm 104:24)

Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
(Psalm 107:43)

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
(Psalm 111:10)

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
(Proverbs 2:5-7)

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
(Proverbs 3:13-18)

The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
(Proverbs 3:35)

Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
(Proverbs 28:5)

For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge.
(Ecclesiastes 2:26)

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
(James 1:5)

Inspirational Quotes from Famous People

Information isn't wisdom. Information isn't learning. If information were learning, you could be educated by memorizing the world almanac. If you did that, you wouldn't be educated. You'd be weird.
--David McCullough author/historian, in INC. magazine, May 2000

One's first step in wisdom is to question everything and one's last is to come to terms with everything.
--Georg Christoph Lichtenberg

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.

The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of nonessentials.
--Lin Yutang

We judge of man's wisdom by his hope.
--Ralph Waldo Emerson The Forbes Book of Business Quotations

Logic is the beginning of wisdom; not the end.
--Spock Star Trek VI Final Frontier

Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the life-long attempt to acquire it.
--Albert Einstein

To keep your secret is wisdom; to expect others to keep it is folly.
--Samuel Johnson

The biggest difficulty with mankind today is that our knowledge has increased so much faster than our wisdom
--Frank Whitmore

All human wisdom is summed up in two words - wait and hope.

God offers practical wisdom to apply to life.
"Oh, how I love Your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me." Psalm 119:97-98, NIV

Trust in God—He will make you truly wise.
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." Proverbs 1:7, NIV

Wisdom is the ability to see life from God's perspective and then to know the best course of action to take.
"How wonderful to be wise, to understand things, to be able to analyse them and interpret them. Wisdom lights up a man's face, softening its hardness." Ecclesiastes 8:1, TLB

We become wiser as we become more like Christ.
"And the child grew and became strong; He was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him." Luke 2:40, NIV

We can ask for God's wisdom to guide our choices.
"If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask Him, and He will gladly tell you, for He is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask Him; He will not resent it." James 1:5, TLB

True wisdom does not come from men's philosophies and ideas.
"Don't let others spoil your faith and joy with their philosophies, their wrong and shallow answers built on men's thoughts and ideas, instead of on what Christ has said." Colossians 2:8, TLB5

5. Wisdom Bible. Wisdom of Solomon.4

Wisdom is an ideal that has been celebrated since antiquity as the knowledge needed to live a good life. What this means exactly depends on the various wisdom schools and traditions claiming to help foster it. In general, these schools have emphasized various combinations of the following: knowledge, understanding, experience, discretion, and intuitive understanding, along with a capacity to apply these qualities well towards finding solutions to problems. In many traditions, the terms wisdom and intelligence have somewhat overlapping meanings; in others they are arranged hierarchically, with intelligence being necessary but not sufficient for wisdom; Neo-Platonists like Cusanus, endorsed a 'docta ignorantia' in which the greatest wisdom was to recognize one's own ignorance of the divine.7
